For women, it is reported by the Offices on Women’s Health that Migraines are most common in women between the ages of 20 and 45. They are most prevalent during a time when women are expected to be most productive at home and work because the pain is often worse with routine activity. For children, it is reported by Healthy Children that About 10% of children age between 5-15 and up to 28% of teens get migraines. The American Migraine Foundation, the reason for migraines in children is connected to history of migraines in the family. Some of the symptoms of a migraine include: a sensitivity to sound, a pulsing pain on one side of the head, and nausea or vomiting.
