Flashcards for Midterm

Worked on making flashcards to study for the Midterm yesterday.

Photoshop Tutorial Assignment

Image
I have watched and followed along with the "Get to Know Photoshop" assignment for class. Here are some of the screenshots of what I did for most of the videos such as opening images, get familiar with the work area, and more.  I feel the results of a lot of what I did came out quite well as far as a tutorial go. They really make me excited to see how I'll utilize them during the corse.

Intro To Computer Graphics- This Monday's Class

This Monday's class I showcased by Afrofuturism presentation and we're beginning to get into the basics of Photoshop.  We'll be working on a Photoshop Tutorial

New Intro To Computer Graphics Session Today

Today we'll have our next class session and I'm looking forward to sticking my hand into the Adobe and Illustrator programs.

Digital Media Research

Since I am a major in VCDMA, out of curiosity I wanted to see how far Digital Media expanded. While I mostly work with Video Editing as of now, I was curious to see what other areas of Digital Media are there.  I read this this neat little overview about Digital Media that goes into the different types of media there are as well as what jobs are in Digital Media as well: https://online.maryville.edu/blog/what-is-digital-media/

Illustrator Curiosity

Since this class is going to have me use Illustrator, I was curious to see some of the things you could create with it since I haven't used it before. So I looked up some examples of some of the stuff people created in in the program. Some of what I searched up was beautifully drawn. Really hope I can get familiar enough with the program to make my own art.

Tutorial Video- Illustrator

Similar to Photoshop, I also looked for an Illustrator tutorial video. However, unlike Photoshop, I'm not quite as familiar with Illustrator. So it is fairly new to me.  I found a nice, short introduction video into the program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzumUieDPY

Tutorial Video- Photoshop

I wanted to go further than just experimenting a little bit in Photoshop and Illustrator and looked up a video for beginners. While I am not exactly new to Photoshop, it's been awhile since I used the program. So, I see this as a chance to refresh myself on what I may have forgotten.  Found this great video for Photoshop or beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61mkx_OV61s

Tried Photoshop and Illustrator

Spent a bit of time in Photoshop and Illustrator to get more familiar in it before we start using it in class.

Experimenting

Now that I've download the required programs for Intro To Computer Graphics I am now going to see if I can experiment with Illustrator and Photoshop so I can be familiar with certain tools that the programs have on Monday when class starts.

Installed Adobe Creative Cloud Applicatoins

I have now installed the Adobe Creative Cloud applications to both my laptop and my computer. I can now have access to the programs through both devices.

Adobe Creative Cloud Installations

Having turned in my Afrofuturism project, I am now going to re-install the Adobe Creative Clouds on my computer and install them into my Mac Airbook as well to have them on both devices.

AfroFuturism VS. Surrealism
